Growing up in a large, working class family in Claymont, John learned at an early age the importance of family and the value of hard work and a good education. It’s these principles that have guided John throughout his life and led him to a career of serving others.
John has always worked to bring people together to get things done. As Lt. Governor, and Secretary of Finance and Deputy Chief of Staff for Gov. Tom Carper, John worked to cut taxes, create jobs, and strengthen our economy. He was a strong supporter of the smoking ban and led the fight for the Cancer Right to Know law.
